Why Are Pitbulls So Mouthy?

American pit bull terriers are so mouthy because historically they were prized as farm dogs and used their mouths to control cattle. Being mouthy means they tend to nip, bite or chew their human companions without any intention of hurting them. While this is natural behavior in all puppies, they should grow out of it.
